A Passion
Project.
Video Games Unlimited started because I put in my time, earned my pension, and decided the next chapter had to be something I actually love. That turned out to be games, people, and the stories that live inside both.
It Started in 1991 Across the Street
I was a kid when my parents took me to the neighbors' house to see their Nintendo. A group of adults and children huddled around a TV, all working together to get through World 8 of Super Mario Bros. 3. I don't remember who beat it. I remember how it felt to be in that room.
I've been collecting ever since. For years I did it alongside a career in education -- teaching, coaching, building programs -- but the collection kept growing. When I hit my tenure and my pension vested, I made a decision: build something of my own, on my own terms, doing what I genuinely love.
Video Games Unlimited is that thing. A by-appointment shop built around real knowledge, real relationships, and real respect for what collectors have spent years putting together.
Why I Show Up Every Day
The Stories
Every collection that walks through the door has a history behind it. I love hearing it -- where the items came from, the games people remember playing, the memories attached to a cartridge or a console. That story doesn't end when they sell it. I carry it to the next person.
The Hunt
There's nothing like opening a box and finding something you've never seen before -- a variant, a regional release, a piece you didn't know existed. That feeling is what got me hooked in 1991 and it's what gets me out of bed now. Every appointment could be the one.
The Community
I'm building something local and something larger at the same time. Connecting with collectors in Hatboro, across the Philadelphia suburbs, and eventually far beyond. Content, conversation, and real relationships with people who care about this hobby as much as I do.
